Automatic Medical Assistance After Vehicle Crash
Introduction
An automatic crash notification system may be activated by a driver or automatically activated in case of a crash. ​ During the crash where the airbag deploys, Vehicles equipped with ACNs transmit a signal to a third party, defined as a telematics service provider, who tries to contact the driver and evaluate the damage​.
If the operator is unable to locate the driver, he or she can use the vehicle’s GPS to notify emergency workers to the accident location.

If the occupants are uncertain of their specific position, it may take longer for emergency services to arrive at the accident site.
